Six structured stages from complete beginner to advanced. All courses run year-round with flexible Monday start dates in the heart of Dublin.
Our comprehensive English program provides structured progression through all CEFR levels. Each 12-week cycle includes continuous assessment with formal progress testing every 6 weeks to ensure you’re always in the right class for your ability.
We strive to create multilingual learner groups to optimize English language immersion. At our English school, we are committed to creating a fully immersive learning environment. To support this, we operate as an English ZONE only. This means that English is the only language used within the school premises – in classrooms, common areas, and during school activities.
We strongly encourage our students to use English before arrival, throughout their stay, and after completing their course. This total immersion approach helps learners build confidence, improve fluency, and make the most of their time in an English-speaking environment.
By maintaining multilingual learner groups, we further promote English as the common language, ensuring students communicate and collaborate in English at all times.

Each stage has a clear focus, named theme, and defined learning outcomes so you always know exactly what you’re working toward.

Overall Learning Goals
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
● Communicate powerfully and proficiently in English in professional and personal contexts.
● Build confidence handling authentic listening input (TED Talks) through structured pre-teaching, listening strategies, and follow-up language work.
● Develop high-level communication competencies: persuasion, argumentation, evaluating ideas, and presenting information effectively (including presentation techniques modeled through TED).
● Strengthen “21st century outcomes” (course-defined life/work skills such as expressing ideas clearly, evaluating ideas, and producing clear professional writing).
CEFR Skills Descriptors
It is a multi-syllabus course integrating grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, speaking, plus explicit strands for authentic listening skills, critical thinking, and presentation skills – all anchored in TED Talks as the unit engine.
The course format includes:
●TED-based units (for authentic language + ideas).
●Review lessons (after every two units).
●Grammar summaries + extra exercises supporting accuracy and deeper form control.
●A strong teacher-support model: full notes, transcripts, tips, alternative procedures, extension tasks, and photocopiable communicative activities.

Our Teaching Methodology
At Academic Bridge, we use a learner-centred, communicative approach to help students use English confidently in real-life situations. Lessons combine clear explanations, practical activities, communication and meaningful feedback.
Students develop all four skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing - while building vocabulary, improving accuracy and increasing fluency.
Each lesson is planned around clear learning outcomes appropriate to the students' level and needs. Teachers guide students through a balance of presentation, controlled practice, communicative activities and freer production, allowing them to gradually apply new language with greater confidence and independence.
Our classrooms are supportive and inclusive environments where students are encouraged to participate, make mistakes, ask questions and learn from feedback.
Our General English curriculum is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), from A1 Beginner to C2 Proficiency.
Each level has clearly defined learning aims and outcomes, with students progressing from basic communication skills to increasingly fluent, accurate and sophisticated use of English.
As students progress through the levels, they develop the language skills they need to communicate successfully in everyday life, social situations, further study and the workplace, both in Dublin and internationally.
As an English language school in Dublin, we encourage students to connect classroom learning with the English they encounter around them. From navigating daily life and interacting with people in the city to communicating in academic and professional settings, students are encouraged to put their English into practice beyond the classroom.
